MCPHERSON – According to the Wednesday, October 20 report from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), McPherson County now has a new cluster spot.

The long-term care facility, Riverview Estates in Marquette is now on the cluster listings with a report of five positive active cases as of October 17.

The next nearest cluster listings come from Harvey County where the long-term care facility, Kidron Bethel in North Newton is on the listing as are all four school within the Great Bend School District.

Other notes from the Wednesday KDHE report, McPherson County is testing out positive at a rate of 154.1 per 1,000 residents which is higher than the state average of 146.54 per 1,000 residents.
