MCPHERSON – According to the latest numbers released by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Wednesday, November 3, an area church has been added to the cluster summary report.

For those who follow the state reports, the listing refers to the facility as a Covenant Church in McPherson within McPherson County and that it had 10 active cases reported as of Friday, October 29.

According to an official at Countryside Covenant Church in McPherson, it is not their church facility but possible the one in Lindsborg.

We will be checking with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment again on Friday to see if we can get a clarification of which church facility is the correct listing on the latest Cluster Summary Report.

Four other area facilities were listed as well including:

  • Kidron Bethel Long-Term Care Facility in North Newton with 8 cases.
  • Centre Schools USD 397 in Lost Springs, Marion County with 11 cases.
  • Parkside Homes Long-Term Care Facility of Hillsboro within Marion County with 5 cases.
  • La Casita Restaurant in Salina with 10 cases.
