MCPHERSON – In their latest Covid Report released on Tuesday afternoon, November 9, the McPherson County Health Department reports an increase of 80 new Covid-19/Coronavirus Cases in the five days since their previous report on Thursday, November 4.

With this report the county has now recorded an overall total of 4,738 Covid-19/Coronavirus cases with 4, 497 being considered recovered while the report also shows 143 active cases which is an increase of nine (9).

There are still seven (7) individuals currently hospitalized due to Covid-19/Coronavirus which means the overall total of those requiring hospitalization is 201.

One more individual has been reported to have died from Covid-19/Coronavirus or complications from it. The most current individual was reported to be in the 80-89 age group.

The current 80 new cases appeared to be well spread out among age groups as those aged 60 and over had an increase of 19 new cases while those aged 0-17 reported 17 new cases and the groups of 30-39 and 20-29 years of age had increases of 16 and 11, respectively.

In the past five days there was an increase of .8% for those vaccinated within the county as the number is now at 50.9%.

Breakthrough cases listed were 272. The number of those breakthrough cases need to be hospitalized or having died did not change.

  • Female involved cases = 2,450 (+ 39)
  • Male involved cases = 2,288 (+ 43)

  • Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 98 (+ 1)
