MCPHERSON – In the two weeks since we last reported a new Covid Report from the McPherson County Health Department (Tuesday, November 16), the number of positive tested cases increased by 159.

With the newest numbers, the McPherson County area now has an overall total of 5,002 Covid-19/Coronavirus cases with 4,808 being considered recovered. The county currently has 96 active cases according to the new report.

The number of those in the hospital has dropped to just three (3), while the overall total number of individuals that required hospitalization due to Covid is 207.

On another positive note, there has been no new deaths reported due to Covid or complications from having had it.

Of the new 159 cases, 27.0% of those or 43 cases derived from individuals aged 0-17. Those individuals aged 30-39 who tested positive increased by 30 while 24 new individuals aged 50-59 tested positive.

Despite it being two full weeks since the last report, there has been just a .5% increase of county individuals who have gotten vaccinated as the number now stands at 51.8%.

Breakthrough cases increased by 37 to 336.

  • Cases involving those individuals 30-39 years old = 683 (+ 30)
  • Cases involving those individuals 18-29 years old = 1,000 (+ 23)
  • Cases involving those individuals under 18 years old = 720 (+ 43)
  • Female involved cases = 2,590 (+ 83)
  • Male involved cases = 2,412 (+ 81)
  • Those cases requiring Hospitalization (May not represent current hospitalizations) = 207 (+ 3)
  • Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 98 (No Change)
