MCPHERSON – It has been one week since we reported new numbers for Covid cases in McPherson County from the McPherson County Health Department and in that week the number has increased by 114.

With the newest numbers, the McPherson County area now has had an overall total of 5,116 Covid-19/Coronavirus cases with 4,879 considered recovered.

Currently the McPherson County is showing 139 active cases which is an increase of 43 since a week ago.

The newest report also noted a doubling of the number of those being hospitalized because of Covid as there is currently six (6) county individuals in hospitals due to the illness.

Of the 114 new cases, the largest increase in numbers came from those over the age of 60 and those ages 2-17.

Since the report a week ago, there has been an increase of .5% of individuals in the county who have been fully vaccinated as the number now stands at 52.3%.

Breakthrough cases increased to 360.

  • Cases involving those individuals 60 years and older = 1,400 (+ 27)

  • Cases involving those individuals 40-49 years old = 661 (+ 17)
  • Cases involving those individuals 30-39 years old = 698 (+ 15)
  • Cases involving those individuals 18-29 years old = 1,019 (+ 19)
  • Cases involving those individuals under 18 years old = 741 (+ 21)
  • Female involved cases = 2,647 (+ 57)
  • Male involved cases = 2,469 (+ 57)
  • Those cases requiring Hospitalization (May not represent current hospitalizations) = 233 (+ 26)
  • Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 98 (No Change)
  • COVID-19/Coronavirus Patients who have died by age = 90+ (24); 80-89 (31); 70-79 (21); 60-69 (15); 50-59 (3); 40-49 (2); 30-39 (2); 20-29 (0); 10-19 (0); 0-9 (0).
