MOUNDRIDGE – A strong second half played the key to a 14-point, 45-31 road victory over Moundridge on Tuesday for the Little River girls.

With the score tied at 10-10 at the end of the first quarter, the Lady Redskins managed to scratch out a three-point, 24-21, advantage as the two teams headed to the halftime break.

Coming out in the third quarter it was all Little River as they outscored the Lady Wildcats 12-5 to take a commanding 36-26 lead into the final eight minutes of play where they earned the final 14-point win.

The Lady Redskins hit on 53% of their shots from the field and dished out 13 assists on 19 made field goals.

Leading the way for Little River was Lily Boughfman who led all scorers with 18 points while also grabbing a team high six rebounds, dished out four assists, and then made three steals and blocked six shots on defense.

Aubrey Olander and Elsie Boughfman each chipped in with seven points with Olander leading the team in steals with six as the Lady Redskins made a total of 13 steals on the night.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR LADY REDSKINS?

With the win the Lady Redskins are now 4-1 for the season and have a week off before hosting Herington at home on Tuesday, December 21.
