MCPHERSON – The McPherson County Health Department released a new Covid-19/Coronavirus report on Tuesday afternoon, December 28, and it showed an increase of 118 since their report a week ago.
With the new numbers, the McPherson County area now has had an overall total of 5,511 Covid-19/Coronavirus cases with 5,278 currently considered recovered.
The number of active cases within the county did again drop significantly to 134 since Friday’s report.
Hospitalization’s are up to 12, an increase of four from the previous report. No new deaths were reported.
Thirty-eight (38) of the new cases came from those aged over 60 while individuals aged 40-49 and aged 18-29 had increases of 18 and 17, respectively.
Percentage of those fully vaccinated county residents rose just .1% since a week ago to 53.1%.
Breakthrough cases rose to 468.
According to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), as of the week of December 12 and it showed the Positivity Rate for McPherson County is now 16.67%.

- Those cases resulting an individual’s death = 99 (no change)
