LITTLE RIVER – The game was over at the tipoff as the Little River boys ran away from visiting Wakefield and scored a whopping 60-point, 70-10 win at home on Friday.

Little River raced out to an 18-point, 22-4 lead by the end of the first quarter and shutout the visitors in the second quarter while adding 18 more points on the scoreboard to take a whopping 36-point, 40-4 advantage into the halftime break.

On fire was the term for the Redskins offense as they connected on 64% of their shots from the field while making 17 steals on defense.

Four Redskins reached double digits in the scorebook led by Logan Renken with 15, much thanks to hitting three three-pointers. Rylan Konen chipped in with 14 while both Allen Burrola and Braxton Lafferty hit for 11. Treyton Olander just missed double figures with nine.

Dalton Mantz may have only scored two points, but he directed the offense and dished out nine assists while also making four steals on defense. Lafferty worked hard at reaching a double double but came up short while leading the Redskins in rebounds with seven.

The Little River boys are now 4-3 for the season as they prepare for a road trip to Peabody/Burns on Tuesday.
