LITTLE RIVER – It was over from the opening tip as the Little River boys shot lights out on Friday on their way to scoring a whopping 60-point, 81-21 win at home over Rural Vista.
The Redskins put 21 points on the board in the first quarter before adding another 18 in the second to take a commanding 25-point, 39-14 lead into to halftime break.
Putting another 42 points in the scorebook in the second half Little River cruised in for the final 60-point thumping.
Little River shot a whopping 78% from the field while making 22 steals on defense, all of which helped the fact they gave up 26 turnovers themselves.
Nine Redskins put points in the scorebook, including five with double digit numbers led by Braxton Lafferty with 18 points while Rylan Konen hit for 12, Ryan Loder scored 11 and both Allen Burrola and Kyle Bruce chipped in with 10.
The win puts the Redskins at 5-3 for the season.
