LINDSBORG = The Smoky Valley boys took control early and scored a commanding 26-point, 53-27 victory at home on Tuesday over Hutchinson Trinity.

Rolling early, the Vikings took a three-point first quarter advantage and built it out to an 18-point, 27-9, lead heading into the halftime break before cruising in the second half to finish with the final 26-point win.

Smoky Valley out shot the visitors 41% to 33% while clearing out 23 rebounds to just 15 for Trinity as they dominated most of the stat sheet.

Gus Griffith and Vincent Pickering both reached double digits in the scorebook with 12 and 10 points, respectively while Karson Pihl and Trayton Miller just missed double figures with nine and Haven Lysell-Stewart chipped in with eight.
