SOLOMON – The Little River boys went on the road Tuesday and came home with a hard fought, nine-point, 49-40 win over Solomon.
The Redskins held a slim, two-point, 11-9 lead at the end of the first quarter before extending it out to seven, 25-18 at the halftime break. Solomon made a game of it in the third quarter and pulled back to within one point at 31-30 before Little River pulled away in the final eight minutes for the final nine-point victory.
Shooting 45% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc helped the Redskins.
Braxton Lafferty led Little River in the scorebook with 14 points while Rylan Konen pitched in with 12 and both Dalton Mantz and Allen Burrola had nine.
Burrola just missed a double double as he also led the team in rebounds with nine.
Now 9-4 for the season, the Redskins will return to the home court on Friday when they host Canton/Galva.
