LOST SPRINGS – The Little River girls went on the road and throttle Centre Tuesday, scoring a 70-21 victory.

After running out to a 13-point, 15-2 first quarter advantage, the Lady Redskins extended their lead to 31, 43-12 by the halftime break. Coming out of the intermission, Little River put another 23 points on the board in the third quarter before turning down the offense and settling for the final 49-point win.

“We played very well at times and not so well at times,” noted Lady Redskin head coach Brent Clark. “We struggled with getting complacent at times when we get big leads. Tonight, we played a lot of kids.”

Among the hightlights of the team stats, the Lady Redskins shot a solid 44% from the field while dishing out a total of 18 assists on 26 made field goals. They also grabbed 32 rebounds and made 18 steals and eight blocked shots on defense.

Nine Lady Redskins put points in the scorebook with Alaina Eck leading the way with 14 while Lily Boughfman had 13. Elsie Boughfman and Kate Ellwood just missed double digits with nine and eight points, respectively. Elsie Boughfman and sister Lily lead the team in the paint, grabbing six and five rebounds each.

Now 15-1 for the season and ranked #3 in Class 1A Division I the Lady Redskins will play host to Elyria Christian on Friday.
