LITTLE RIVER – In a single game on Thursday, the Little River baseball team dominated visiting Inman while scoring a 12-run, 14-2 victory.

The win raises the Little River 2022 season mark to 13-3 while Inman drops to 6-11.

Little River pounded the Teuton pitching for 11 runs in the bottom of the second and then followed that up with three more in the fourth to earn the final 14-2 win.

Grant Stephens needed just 62 pitches in throwing a complete game for the Redskins, giving up just three hits, one earned run, and walking just one while striking out three.

Six Redskins had two hits in the game with Stephens and Logan Renken each pounding out a double. Both Stephens and Treygan Birdsong recorded three runs batted in six players scored at least twice.

For Inman, they used three pitchers in trying to stop the deluge of Little River offense with Caleb Bigler getting the start. Bigler only pitched 2.1 innings but threw 75 pitches. Bigler along with Zaden Johnson and Noah Pollock gave up a total of 12 hits, 12 earned runs and walked just two while striking out four.

As for the bats, Johnson, Rhett Gilkey, and Max Alexander had the lone three hits with Alexander’s being a double.
