            SALINA – The first-year McPherson High girls golf team went to Salina on Tuesday and played in the Salina South Invitational, placing fifth.

            Manhattan won the meet with a team score of 363 while host Salina South took second with 388 and the Lady Bullpups finished fifth with a 407. Other teams competing were Newton, Hays, Hutchinson, and Concordia.

            One Lady Bullpup, Brodie Kuhn, finished in the top ten at eighth place after shooting an 84. Andi Buschbom tied for 18th and Jordan Vanderhoof tied for 23rd.

            The Lady Bullpup junior varsity went to Campus on Tuesday and came home with a team championship while Macy Rinker earned the individual gold. Both

            In the junior varsity tournament, the Lady Bullpups took the team championship while Macy Rinker won the individual gold. Both Landree Wedel and Paisley Van Campen finished in the top ten as well. The junior varsity girls will be back in action on Monday, September 12 at Wellington.

            For the Lady Bullpup varsity golfers, they will host their first ever girls golf invitational on Thursday, September 15 with nine other teams which will include Andale, Andover Central, Buhler, Cheney, Circle, Haysville/Campus, Mulvane, Wellington and Winfield.
