            NORWICH – Even on the road the Canton/Galva football team continues to dominate as they rolled over Norwich Friday, winning 46-0.

            As of Monday, the Eagles were ranked number 2 in 9-Man Division II and now remain unbeaten at 4-0 for the season. Next up will be a home game with Fairfield on Friday, the Falcons will come into the game looking for their first win after losing 54-8 to Central Christian on Friday. The Falcons have also been outscored 226-14.

            Jett Vincent took two passes from Garrett Maltbie covering five and sixty yards to the end zone to give the Eagles and early 16-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

            Another pair of long plays put two more sored on the board in the second quarter as Vincent broke lose for a 55-yard scoring run and then Maltbie connected with Cason Mastre on a 66-yard pass play for his third touchdown pass of the game, giving Canton/Galva a huge 32-0 advantage at the halftime break.

            Maltbie took a run 37 yards for a score in the opening moments of the third quarter and then connected with Mastre for a 30-yard scoring pass to close out the game by point rule, giving the Eagles their final 46-0 win.

            The Eagles dominated the stat sheet as they rolled up 504 yards in offense on just 36 plays or 14.1 yards every time they snapped the ball. Canton/Galva covered 13.4 yards every time they ran the ball for a total of 214 while Maltbie ended the game with 290 yards passing on 10-for-20 passing.

            Jett Vincent only carried the ball three times, but they went for 61 yards while Ryder Norstrom ran for 54 yards on two totes and Lane McMannis had 53 yards.

            Vincent caught four passes for 136 yards while Mastre covered 130 yards on five receptions.

            Defensively, the Eagles held Norwich to just three first downs and 56 yards on 35 offensive plays.

            Individually, the defense was led by TJ Koehn with six tackles of which three-and-a-half went for a loss of yardage.
