LINDSBORG – The Smoky Valley volleyball team closed out the month of September on a high note as they scored a pair of straight set wins at home on Tuesday over Haven and Larned.
With the two wins, the Lady Vikings are now 18-6 overall for the 2022 season and 5-1 in league play.
Against Haven, Smoky Valley won in straight sets, 25-13, 25-19 with Adrian Hazelwood leading the way by making seven digs and dishing out 22 assists. Both Hope Duncan and Katja Blanchat recorded 10 kills while Duncan also made 13 digs.
The second match of the home triangular was dominated by Smoky Valley as they took the win in straight sets, 25-7 and 25-12.
Hazelwood again directed the offense with 15 assists while making three digs. Blanchat recorded 11 kills and make three digs while Duncan had a pair of digs to go with five kills.
Next up for the Lady Vikings will be Tuesday, October 4 when they host Halstead and Southeast of Saline.
