INMAN – On Monday, senior Inman baseball player Brant Mikulecky signed a letter of intent to play baseball in 2023-24 at Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina.
Brant is the son of Matt and Mindy Mikulecky of Inman where Matt is the head baseball coach.
According to the Inman coaches, Brant was an impact player for the Teutons while earning All Heart of America League honors in both his sophomore and junior seasons along with being named to the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches Class 2-1A All-State team as a junior in the spring of 2022.
Last spring, Mikulecky hit for a .446 average while hammering out nine doubles, one triple and one home run to go with 16 stolen bases and 31 runs scored. When pitching, Mikulecky set a Teuton school record for strikeouts in a season with 80.
According to his head coach, Matt Mikulecky, “We are extremely proud of Brant for what he has done on the ballfield and in the classroom. He has worked very hard to put himself in a position to continue his education and baseball career at a great university and in an excellent baseball program.”
Mikulecky is planning to major in Computer Science while at Kansas Wesleyan University.
