PRETTY PRAIRIE – It was a complete domination on Friday evening by the Little River football team as they traveled to Pretty Prairie and scored a 54-0 shutout victory.

The win is the Redskins sixth in a row, giving them a 6-1 mark on the season as they close out the regular season part of their schedule next Friday by hosting Goessel. The Bluebirds will come into the game 4-3 after losing 48-40 in double overtime to Moundridge on Friday.

Against Pretty Prairie, Little River put four scores on the board in the first quarter, two on scoring runs of 36 and 16 yards by Rylan Konen followed by a one-yard score from Braxton Lafferty before Lafferty closed out the first period taking a 43 pass and catch play from Konen to the house, giving the Redskins a commanding 30-0 first quarter lead.

The Redskins closed out the game by halftime due to the 45-point rule in 8-man football when they used 52- and four-yard scoring runs by Grant Stephens to frame another long scoring pass by Konen, this time to Andrew Smith covering 33 yards.

As a team, the Little River defense held Pretty Prairie to just 43 yards on 36 offensive plays, including just 27 yards on 22 rushing attempts. The Pretty Prairie pass attack could only muster four completions out of eleven attempts.
