            MOUNDRIDGE – At the Moundridge Preseason Tournament, the Inman girls basketball team kept up through three quarters before falling behind late and losing to Hillsboro 62-39.

            The Lady Teutons will return to Moundridge on Thursday to battle with Lyons in the second round of the tournament.

            “It was a close game throughout the game until Hillsboro went on a run in the fourth quarter,” noted Lady Teuton head coach Megan Heckel. “The girls played well and did a lot of good things. They took care of the ball and played well overall.”

            After falling behind by eleven at 8-7 by the end of the first quarter, the Lady Teutons bounced back and pulled back to within seven at 28-21 heading into the halftime break.

            Inman continued to chip away at the Hillsboro lead in the third quarter, outscoring the Trojans by six to pull within a point at 41-40 heading into the final quarter of play. Hillsboro went on a big run in the final half of the final quarter and pulled away to earn the final 13-point, 62-49 win over Inman.

            Freshman Suttyn Harris had a huge game for the lady Teutons, leading the team in scoring with 27 points while recording a double-double with her 12 rebounds.

            Maci Neufeld chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds while Kenna Woods had six points and four rebounds and kambrey Woods only scored three points but helped on the boards by pulling in six carroms.
