            MOUNDRIDGE – In their final games of the Moundridge Preseason Tournament, cross county rivals Lady Wildcat of Moundridge and the Lady Teutons of Inman took to the hardwood on Friday and Inman used a strong first and fourth quarters to outdistance Moundridge for a 58-36 victory.

            For Inman, it was the Lady Teutons first win of the season as they now look to win again on Tuesday when they play host to Kingman.

            It was the third straight loss for the Lady Wildcats as they now prep for a tough battle on Tuesday with number one ranked team in Class 1A Division I, Little River.

            For the game on Friday, Inman jumped out to 17-9 first quarter lead before adding to the advantage by four to take a 29-17 lead into the halftime break. After the Lady Wildcats were able to chisel a couple of points of the Lady Teuton lead in the third, the Lady Teutons put 20 points on the board in the final quarter to earn the final 22-point win.

            “The girls played great and stayed up the whole evening,” said Lady Teuton head coach Megan Heckel. “I was proud of them for taking care of the ball so well.”

            Leading the way for the Lady Teutons was fabulous freshman Suttyn Harris who recorded a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds while also making five steals, dishing out four assists and knocking down three blocked shots as well.

            Kenna Woods also reached double digits for Inman with 11 points.

            “This week did not go the way we hoped or planned,” acknowledged Lady Wildcat head coach Kaleigh Huxman. “However, I am proud of the effort my girls gave. We have to score more points, but the effort and attitude is there, and I am thankful for the opportunity to coach this group of girls.”

            While no Lady Wildcats reached double digits in the scorebook, three came close as both Reese Schmidt and Kaelyn Wedel scored nine and freshman Addy Patrick chipped in with eight.
