WAKEFIELD – It was a road trip worth remembering for the Little River boys on Friday while for host Wakefield it was a nightmare from the opening tip as Little River exploded for 78 points while holding the Bombers to just 16 and the victory.

Now 4-2 on the season, the Redskins will play host to Herington on Tuesday before breaking for the Christmas Holiday.

Little River raced out to a 21-point, 25-4 lead by the end of the first quarter and held a 36-point, 48-12 advantage when it came time for the halftime break. After scoring another 25 points to Wakefield’s two in the third quarter Little River cruised in for the final 62-point win at 78-16.

Much of the story was the fact that the Little River offense shot a blistering 64% on two-point shots and 57% overall when you include their three-point attempts while gaining 22 steals and five blocked shots when on defense.

Braxton Lafferty had a monster game, leading Little River in scoring with 31 points while grabbing six rebounds, dishing out four assists, blocking a shot and making five steals.

Joining Lafferty in double digits scoring was Logan Renken with 13 and Kayston Cox who had 11 while Treyton Olander chipped in with eight.
