CANTON – It was a great way to end the 2022 portion of the schedule for the Canton/Galva boys as they hosted Wakefield on Tuesday and buried the visitors with a 56-point, 75-19 victory.

The win puts the Eagles at 6-2 heading into the Christmas break. Next time Canton/Galva will be on the competitive hardwood will be on Friday, January 6 when they travel to Elyria Christian.

“Another game we came out ready to play,” pointed out Eagle head coach Larry O’Connor in his brief post-game reflections. “We were able to get some young guys some valuable playing experience. Excited to get a couple of injured starters back after the break and see what we can do.”

Canton/Galva flew out to a 25-point, 31-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and held a commanding 33-point, 43-10 advantage at the halftime break. Outscoring Wakefield 32-9 in the final two quarters the Eagles used the entire bench in the fourth quarter as they cruised in for the win.
