STERLING – The Inman girls basketball team returned to the competitive hardwood on Tuesday on the road at Sterling and freshman Suttyn Harris dominated the game in leading the Lady Teutons to a 51-39 win.
After starting the season with three straight losses, the Lady Teutons have now won three of the last four games, giving them a 3-4 mark for the season as they prep to play host to Burrton on Friday.
For three quarters Sterling and Inman played nearly even up as the Lady Teutons held an 11-10 lead after the first quarter and had a slim two-point, 22-20 advantage at the halftime break.
Still up by just two at 33-31 at the end of the third, the Lady Teutons put 18 points on the board in the fourth while holding Sterling to just eight, giving Inman the final 12-point victory.
Leading the Lady Teutons was fabulous freshman Suttyn Harris who scored 31 of the teams 51 points. Harris made 15-of-21 free throws which included making good on all five of her free throw attempts in the fourth quarter while in scoring nine of the Lady Teutons 18 points. Harris also recorded a double-double as she topped the team in rebounds by grabbing 10.
Taelyn Friesen, a junior, also reached double digits with 10 points while freshman Kenna Woods hit for four points and gave Harris help in the paint by pulling down six rebounds.
