            LITTLE RIVER – On Friday the Little River boys pounded out a huge early lead and never looked back while beating visiting Peabody/Burns by 47 points, 67-20.

            With the Little River girls winning by 91, the two Little River squads out scored their visitors on the night by a combined 162-24.

            For the Little River boys, they are now 6-2 for the season with a pair of road games looming next week as they travel to Goessel on Tuesday before closing out the week on the road at Rural Vista.

            On Friday, the Redskins pounded out a 30-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and took a 42-9 advantage into the halftime break. Coming out for the second half, Little River outscored Peabody/Burns 25-11 to gain the final 47 point victory.

            Braxton Lafferty led the team in scoring with 17 points thanks much to three three-pointers while both Rylan Konen and Dalton Mantz also reached double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

            With Kayston Cox leading Little River with work in the paint by pulling down seven rebounds, a total of 10 players recorded rebounds in the game. Lafferty led the team in steals with six and also dished out five assists.
