GOESSEL – On Tuesday the Little River girls traveled to Goessel and came home with a 34-point, 59-25 win as 11 girls put points in the scorebook.
Now 9-0 for the season and ranked number one in Class 1A Division I, the Lady Redskins will be on the road again on Friday at Rural Vista.
Little River raced out to an 18-point, 21-3 lead by the end of the first quarter and then extended their advantage to 19 points at 31-12 at the halftime break. Coming out of the break, the Lady Redskins pushed the lead to 33 points at 54-21 heading into the fourth quarter.
Aubrey Olander had a huge game, recording a double-double in leading the team in both scoring with 15 and rebounding by grabbing 15 while also blocking three shots and making a pair of steals on defense.
Kate Ellwood also reached double digits with 10 points thanks to connecting on three three-pointers.
