BURRTON – In their first game of the Burrton Tournament on Tuesday, the Little River boys upped their season record to 9-2 with a 25-point, 64-39 victory over Berean Academy.
Little River took a commanding 13-point, 19-6 lead by the end of the first quarter, then extended it out to 16 at 34-18 heading into the halftime break. In the third quarter the Redskins hit a 20-point lead at 47-27 before settling in for the final 25 point win.
Braxton Lafferty had a huge night offensively by pouring 29 points into the scorebook thanks to hitting on five three-pointers. Logan Renken and Rylan Konen just missed double digits with nine and eight points respectively.
Dalton Mantz and Treyton Olander led Little River in the paint as they each pulled down six rebounds while Lafferty grabbed five to go along with his five steals.
