            BURRTON – On Thursday, the Little River boys won game number two at the Burrton Invitational, rolling past Goessel by 33, 70-37, giving them a spot in the Invitational Championship game on Saturday.

            Now 10-2 for the season, Little River now plays Inman for the Burrton Invitational Championship on Saturday. Inman beat Central Christian 61-14 on Thursday.

            Little River jumped out to a commanding 17-point, 23-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and held a 28-point, 39-11 advantage at the halftime break. After going up 60-26 by the end of the third quarter, the Redskins cruised in for the final 33-point victory.

            Rylan Konen led Little River in scoring with 17 while Logan Renken and Andrew Smith joined him in double digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Braxton Lafferty just missed double digits with both Dalton Mantz and Kayston Cox connecting for eight points each.

            Renken almost recorded a double-double as he led the team in rebounds with nine with Lafferty grabbing another eight as well.

            Dalton Mantz directed the offensive attack by dishing out eight assists.
