            SEDGWICK – On Friday, the Moundridge girls scored a big win for their season as they rallied in the second half to earn a hard fought nine-point, 37-28 win over Chaparral and gain the Sedgwick Invitational championship.

            With the three wins in the tournament, the Lady Wildcats are now sitting at 7-7 on the season as they prep to play host to Ell-Saline on Tuesday.

            Lady Wildcat freshman Addy Patrick and senior Kindall Elmore were named to the all-tourney team.

            “I am so proud of this team,” said Moundridge head coach Kaleigh Huxman. “The way they responded this week was incredible to watch.”

            The two teams were tied at 10-10 at the end of the first quarter before Chaparral was able to gain a one-point, 18-17 advantage going into the halftime break. After the Lady Wildcats secured a slim two-point, 28-26 lead by the end of the third quarter, they pulled away in the fourth to gain the final nine-point victory.

            Kindall Elmore led the Lady Wildcats in scoring with 13 while Cammi Unruh had 10 and Macy Kaminkow scored eight.
