            LINDSBORG – On Tuesday the Smoky Valley boys improved their season mark to 7-5 with a home court, seven-point, 50-43 win over Hutchinson Trinity.

            Trinity took and early six-point, 15-9 lead at the end of the first quarter before the Smoky Valley offense came to life to pull within three at 25-22 heading into the halftime break.

            The Vikings pulled ahead by four at 36-32 by the end of the third quarter and then hung on for the final seven-point victory.

            Karson Pihl connected on four three-pointers to lead the Vikings in scoring with 14 while Ki Blanchat chipped in with 10 and Jerome Autry just missed double digits with nine.

            Next up for the Vikings as a road trip to Clay Center on Friday.
