            REMINGTON – It was a strong performance Friday for the Smoky Valley boys wrestling team as they participated in the 17 team Remington Bronco Invitational and brought home a third-place finish along with a pair of individual champions.

            The Vikings rolled up 105 team points which place them third behind first-place Minneapolis and runner-up Clearwater. Class 4A schools Augusta, Wellington and McPherson rounded out the top six teams.

            Individually, both Connor Barnes at 126 and Justin Holt at 215 won first-place in their divisions while Deonte Crain at 106, Parker Gardner at 175, and Richard Zeller at 190 all finished second.

            Next up for the Viking wrestlers will be at the 32nd annual Circle Invitational where there will be 38 teams competing on Friday and Saturday, February 3-4.

106 – Deonte Crain went 2-1 finished 2nd.

126 – Connor Barens went 3-0 finished 1st.

132 – Takota Hauck went 1-2 finished 3rd.

144 – Andrew Young went 1-2.

144 – Jakorian Crain went 1-2.

150 – Michael Hawk went 0-2.

157 – Gavin Stambaugh went 2-2 finished 4th.

165 – Sam Zeller went 0-2.

165 – Geo Luis went 1-2.

175 – Parker Gardner went 2-1 finished 2nd.

190 – Richard Zeller went 2-1 finished 2nd.

215 – Justin Holt went 3-0 finished 1st.

215 – Connor Smith-Bolin went 1-3 finished 4th.
