LINDSBORG – On Tuesday the Smoky Valley boys took an early lead and never let up on their way to a 26-point, 58-32 home court win over Lyons.
The win raised the season mark for the Vikings to 9-5 as they ready for a Friday road trip to Nickerson.
After taking a 14-point, 17-3 lead in the first quarter, Smoky Valley put up another 23 points in the second quarter to give them a commanding 26-point, 40-14 advantage as the teams went to the halftime break. Both teams put another 18 points on the board in the final two quarters, giving the Vikings their final 26-point victory.
Karson Pihl connected on four three-pointers to lead the Vikings in scoring with 14 points while Ki Blanchat made three three-pointers to score 13. Justice Autry also reached double digits with 10 as nine Vikings put at least a pair of points in the scorebook.
