LOST SPRINGS – On the road Friday, the Little River boys upped their season record to 12-3 as they pummeled Centre 59-23.
Next up for the Redskins will be a road trip to Canton/Galva on Tuesday followed by a home court battle with Elyria Christian on Friday.
Shooting 67% on two-pointers and 49% overall, Little River powered out to a 20-4 first quarter lead before taking an 18-point, 32-14 advantage into the halftime break. In the third quarter the Redskins put the game out of reach by pouring another 20 points on the board while holding Centre to just five, giving them a commanding 52-19 lead before they finished out with the final 36-point victory.
Rylan Konen led the Redskins in scoring with 17 points while Braxton Lafferty joined him in double figures with 15 as nine Redskins put points in the scorebook on the night.
Dalton Mantz directed the offense and dished out the team high seven assists while both Andrew Smith and Rylan Konen each topped the team in the paint with seven rebounds each.
