LITTLE RIVER GIRLS TAKE DOWN CENTRE BY 48

            LOST SPRINGS – The Little River girls continue to roll on Friday as they improved their season record to 14-1 while on the road at Centre and scoring a dominating 57-9 win.

            It was the Little River defense that set the tone of the game as they held Centre to zero points the entire first half while scoring 28 in the first quarter and six in the second to take a commanding 34-0 advantage into the halftime break. Coming out of the break the Lady Redskins slowed down a bit but still peaked out with the final 48-point victory.

            Alaina Eck led the Lady Redskins in scoring with 18 while Aubrey Olander had 14 and Arika Feldman just missed double digits with nine.

            Aubrey Olander had an overall strong game as she led the team in rebounds with seven and tied with Feldman for the team high in blocked shots with four while also swiping four steals.

            Ten different Lady Redskins grabbed rebounds in the game as the team hauled in 32 total with Havana Olander and Lucy Wright helping Aubrey in the paint by pulling down six and five rebounds, respectively. Adelynn Strecker led the team in steals with five.

            Next week the Little River girls will be on the road at Canton/Galva on Tuesday before hosting Elyria Christian on Friday.
