NEXT UP – REMATCH WITH MOUDRIDGE

INMAN – On Monday, the Inman boys kicked off their hopeful run to the Class 2A state tournament by hosting Berean Academy in their sub-state quarterfinal and earning a nine-point, 31-22 win.
The Teutons now stand 18-3 on the season and will get a familiar foe in the sub-state semi-final on Thursday when they will tangle with county rival Moundridge (18-3). The winner will then play the winner of top seed Ellinwood (20-1) and Sterling (16-5) on Saturday for a shot to play at the state tournament next week.
Inman took an early three-point, 5-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a nine-point, 14-5 advantage at the halftime break. After Berean chiseled the lead down to six at 23-17 at the end of the third quarter, the Teutons powered back out to gain the final nine-point victory.
Tanner Heckel led the Teutons in scoring with 11 points and Eli Brunk just missed reaching double digits with nine.
