UNRAU CLOSES OUT COACHING CAREER WITH 6TH TITLE

MANHATTAN – Just a short bit about the Moundridge Wildcat boys basketball team – CONGRATS FOR WINNING THE CLASS 2A STATE TITLE with a 66-46 win over Wichita Independent on Saturday afternoon.

The win closes out the illustrious 36-year coaching career of Vance Unrau as the boys gave him his 6th State Title in 10 attempts.

While we will have a full story later in the weekend after we get full game information and coach reflections – we can tell you the Wildcat boys trailed by five, 23-18, at the halftime break only to come out and outscore the Panthers 48-23 in the final two quarters, including 22-6 in the fourth!!
Wildcat seniors led the way as Landon Kaufman scored 23, Logan Churchill had 19 and Alec Huddle chipped in with 8.
