            SOLOMON – the Elyria Christian track/field teams traveled to Solomon on Tuesday and returned with six first-place individual finishes.

            The Elyria Lady Eagles finished third as a team with 78 points. Hesston and Solomon took the top two team places.

            Three Lady Eagles won a total of four first-place gold as Laney Reiff won both the 800 and 1,600 meters, Kenna Cass took first in the discus and Ryland Hawkinson won the javelin.

            Grace Prescott just missed gold with a pair of second place runs in the 100 and 200 meters.

            For the Eagle boys, Blake Robertson was the highlight of the meet as he scored wins in both the discus and shot put. The Eagle boys finished fifth in the team standings.

            Next on the schedule for the Eagle track/field teams will be on Thursday, April 11 at Lyons.
