            LITTLE RIVER – On Tuesday the Little River baseball team proved why they are unbeaten and ranked number one in the state as they held visiting Bennington to a total of three hits and no runs in completing back-to-back 15-0 shutout wins.

            Now 10-0, the Redskins will now get ready to tangle with the Inman Teutons at home on Friday. The Teutons are also undefeated at 10-0.

            In game one, Little River scored four runs in the first, five in the second, two in the third and four in the fourth to gain the final 15-0 win.

            Braden Young, Grant Stephens, Kayston Cox, and Spencer Strecker all had three hits in the game with Cox getting four runs batted in with a double and home run. Dalton Mantz also hammered out a home run, Strecker had a double and Young had both a double and a triple. The Redskins also stole 10 bases with four players having two.

            Logan Renken threw the four-inning shutout, tossing 70 pitches in giving up just two hits, walking just one and striking out six.

            During the nightcap, Little River scored all 15 runs in the first three innings, including 10 in the second. Dalton Mantz needed just 51 pitches on the mound for the win as he held Bennington to just a single hit while walking four and striking out four.

            Spencer Strecker went 3-for-3 with three runs batted in. Carter Stansbury only had two hits, but they were both home runs as he knocked in five runs. Braden Young, Kayston Cox, and Dalton Mantz each had a double and Logan Renken hit a triple.

            Overall, playing just seven innings over the two games, Little River still managed to hammer out 28 hits, six doubles, two triples, and four home runs while stealing 16 bases.
