HESSTON – At the 14-team Hesston Invitational on Tuesday, the Smoky Valley boys tennis team finished fourth overall.

Scoring 89 points, they landed fourth behind Hesston and Wichita Trinity Academy who tied for second with 99 points while Buhler was the overall team champion with 107.
With points being handed out for all placings up to 28, Smoky Valley’s Max Bieker finished seventh in the singles division while Keaton Lieker placed thirteenth.
The Viking duo of Per Nelson and Nate Nyquist finished seventh after going 4-1 while the Baker boys, Gabe and Zeke, finished ninth.
Next up for the Viking boys tennis team will be with a home meet on Thursday.

Singles Division:
Max Bieker > 7th, went 4-1 (W-W-L-W-W).
Keaton Lieker > 13th, went 3-1 (L-W-W-W).
Doubles Division:
Per Nelson/Nate Nyquist > 7th, went 4-1 (W-W-L-W-W).
Gabe Baker/Zeke Baker > 9th, went 4-1 (W-L-W-W-W).
